YAY, Korea is putting on a French Cast Production of Notre Dame de Paris in honor of the 10th anniversary of the show in Korea. This marks the like fourth run of the show in Asian country but it’s the fisrt time since 2005 that a production has been in its native.

The show will run at The Grand Theater, Sejong Center for the Performing Arts in Seoul from January 15th to February 27th 2015.

So here is the cast and if you have been following the Notre Dame de Paris recent cast ( or just in general) you will see some familiar faces.

Esmeralda – Stephanie Bedard & Myriam Brosseau

Gringoire – Richard Charest & John Eyzen

It features Nadia Bel, Matt Laurent, Robert Marien, Bruno Pelletier, Richard Charest, Sophie Tremblay all singing Le Temps des Cathédrales.

So Notre Dame de Paris will return to Crocus City Hall November  2013. Performances will be on the 8th, 9th, 10th, 15th, 16th and the 17th.  There will be two performance a day. It will be in French. No word so far on casting (as far as I could find).

The performances of this seems to have been canceled.

 

There will also be A Victor Hugo Musical Gala Concert in Seoul on May 24 through 27th. Notre Dame de Paris Alumni  Matt Laurent, Nadia Bel, Richard Charest, Robert Marien and Bruno Pelletier will be performing.

Apparently it is customary for Richard Charest to thank the crowd in country’s official language and start singing in French but the crowd was happier to heard Richard Cocciante singing in Italian.

I find it curious that the encore startes in French then goes to english. I liked that Charest thanks them in Mandarin. ^^ (“thank you” is about the only thing I can say in Mandrian)
