Season four of Netflix’s hit Regency Romance dropped in two parts in early 2026. Following the third book An Offer from a Gentleman by Julia Quinn, which follows Benedict love story with Sophie, a maid. And while Bridgerton has seasonal leads the Tv Series takes a lot of liberties with book narratives to create an ensemble piece.
Season four picks up as Eloise arrives back at her family’s London home after a stint in Scotland with her newly married sister Francesca and her husband John. After the quietness of Scotland Eloise has decided that she will no longer shun society but instead will embrace it as a spinster on the “shelf.” This plan is immediately challenged by her mother.

Bows, Puffed Sleeves and Pleated Details
At this point we the audience know what to expect from Bridgerton costumes but they have changed over the years. However the common denominator between each and every season is a very over-the-top and colorful maximalism take on the Regency period with glitter and sequins. Some seasons just amp this style ethos up and some are more subtle. Season four is more extreme on that spectrum but not as much as season three.
Eloise still dresses in her Bridgerton family colors of greens and blues. She doesn’t wear as many ruffles as season three but instead wears a lot bows and pleating details. She also likes to mix satin elements with a contrasting textural fabrics. Many of her costumes combine all there elements and they do work together.
Eloise has about 29 costumes throughout season 4. She does wear a few more than once.
How I Ranked Her Top 10 Costumes
This is a ranking of Eloise’s 10 best costumes from season 4 of Bridgerton. The costumes were ranked on aesthetics, memorability and how well they reflect Eloise’s character and sense of style.

10. The Dinner Gown
Violet ropes Francesca into hosting a family dinner so that she can entertain in an empty house. It’s at this dinner that Hyacinth calls Eloise out on her attitude which has profound affect of Eloise moving forward.
To the dinner Eloise wears a blue evening gown with short puffed sleeves that are cinched-in at hems giving them a structured look. This cinched-in puffed sleeves are fixtures of many of the costumes of season four. The fabric has a silver weave making it looks sparkly but the gown is also further embellished with silver sequins. There is also a blue embroidery design at various places on the gown but more notabable on the skirt.
She wears a crystal necklace that she wears with another evening look in the same episode.
9. The Green Feathered Ball Gown
A highlight of season four is Hyacinth’s recital ball which is a practice ball for Hyacinth and Gregory’s peer group which includes a longways set dance.
Eloise attends this ball to support her siblings and her family is hosting it. Eloise’s ball gown is a medium weight muted green with gold patterned fabric. The cinched-in puffed sleeves are in a sheer glittery green fabric that with bows on the hems of the sleeves. There is also a larger bow at the back. The neckline is embellished with green iridescent sequins.
The about mid-way down the skirt there are matching green feathers. This feathered frock style is very similar the gown Eloise wore to the Monarch ball back in season three. Oddly this Eloise’s only green ball gown this season, she wear a green gown to Lady Danbury’s soiree though.
8. The Masquerade Costume
One of the biggest costume moments of Bridgerton is Violet’s Masquerade Ball. After arriving home from Scotland Eloise attends the ball dresses as Joan of Arc which suits her character very well.
Her interpretation of Joan is a combination of blue armor wore over a chain-mail inspired longed sleeved dress. Her blue armor is accent with gold and the waist as Fleur-de-lys. Her mask matches her armor. She is also wearing gold sequined boots which are not really seen but Claudia Jessie mentioned while promoting season four.
Her short wig with micro bangs looks it took inspiration from the 1901 Albert Lynch painting.
7. The Teal Lace Dress
As a means to outmaneuver Eloise, Violet gives her an ultimatum: the marriage mart or chaperone Hyacinth’s finishing lessons. For Eloise the lessons are the lesser of the two evils.
To one of these lessons Eloise a muted teal lace day dress. Teal is an unusual color for Eloise but it also perfect as it combines two of her signature colors together.
The dress is fairly simple, the sleeves are sheer as they don’t have a lining fabric and are hort and puffed with that signature cinched-in giving them a distinctive shape. The rest of dress is accented with silver sequins.
She wears a blue crystal necklace with matching earrings.
6. The Blue Tweed Dress
A signature style element for Eloise in season four are bows, Many of her looks have a bow just under the bust or at the sleeves or both, bonus points in the bows are in a satin material. This light blue day dress is made from glittery tweed-like fabric with aforementioned satin bows. The contrast of material does make this look charming and fits Eloise’s sense of style this season.
The contrast also adds to the chaotic scene in which Benedict interrupts a family moment with news of Sophie, news that Eloise had no knowledge which leads everyone talk over each other in a confused rush manner. Delightful light familal chaos.
5. The Penwood Ball Gown
After being sent away to Wales at the end of season three, Cressida returns to the Ton as the newly married Countess of Penwood, which would make her a relation of Sophie’s but the show never brings that up. Anyway to mark her return to society she throws a ball dubbed “Penwood in Pink Ball.” However unlike other balls in Bridgeton the theme doesn’t extended to the attendees wearing pink. There is however drama as this ball is when Penelope “publicly” gives up being Lady Whistledown. Meanwhile Eloise seeks Hyacinth into the ball making one her first ball outside her home that she attends.
So while Eloise doesn’t wear pink she instead opts to wear a blue and silver gown. The bodice and the sleeves are trimmed with a pleated muted glittery blue satin fabric with some silver sequins. The sleeves and main skirt are a silver beaded fabric with basketweave pattern that has a blue material woven in to it. It also looks like there are sequin sewn in to the skirt and sleeve too making for a very sparkly gown that is more complex the more one looks at it.
4. The Purple Pleated Dress
Many of Eloise’s costumes throughout season four have a very similar design. Many of the have curved trim that starts at the shoulders and goes down under the bust with a little bow as an accent.
This purple day dress is features a contrast of purple satin serving a the accent against a lighter purple tweed-like material. Also in keeping Eloise’s style choices this season there are pleated elements in the bodice and pleated inset in a fan-like shape adorning the lower portions of the skirt. And of course bows and puffed sleeves.
While it’s very similar the other dresses in her wardrobe it’s the soft muted purple that makes it stand out. The purple color a lovely on Eloise which hints at her softer side which is why she wears this dress when she comforts Hyacinth
3. The Green Pleated Dress
This Green day dress of Eloise’s is one of the dresses that wears twice during season four and was one her costumes she wears for the promotional material.
Despite pastel being a Bridgerton signature, this green is brighter. The bodice is made of a satin material with a wide pleated trim along the neckline and edges of the short puffed sleeves. The bodice is embellished with flat bow and pearls which are also sewn in-between the pleats.
The skirt is made from also green sparkly fabric with the pleated satin trim at the end thus pulling the look together.
It’s a cute yet cliché look that blends a lot of facets of Eloise’s style together. Also the brighter green is a new color for her and looks lovely.
2. The Navy Blue Dress
After John passes away the family goes into mourning. Mourning involves wearing dark and sombre colors. Eloise wears this dark navy blue dress a few times mainly while trying to comfort her widowed sister and youngest sibling. This dress features Eloise’s signature pleated bodice with under trim in a matching satin fabric. The rest of the dress is a nearly black blue with a three-dimensional floral pattern.
It’s very, very rare to see the Bridgertons is dark sombre colors but the dark navy is very cliche on Eloise making this a lovely costume even if she is wearing for a sad reason.
1. The Queen’s Ball Gown
As is typically the case with the last episode of a Bridgerton, the narrative culminates at a ball. For season four it’s The Queen’s Ball, which is given in Lady Danbury’s honor. While Eloise herself is removed from the season’s resolution she has a nice moment with Sophie’s step-sister’s Posy, who is an utter delight.
Eloise wears a heavily beaded blue and silver ball gown that is embellished with flower clusters and fern-like designs at the bodice.
The color and design perfectly suits Eloise’s character and style without feeling too redundant. It’s also dramatic without feeling too over-the-top. Overall this gown strikes the perfect balance for Eloise costuming styles throughout Bridgerton.
Honorable Mention: Blue Sparkly Gown
In the montage of Benedict’s search for the Lady in Silver there is a quick shot of Eloise in a blue sparky ball gown It’s a shame this ball gown is only on screen for a few seconds because it’s very pretty.
Also shout out to her blue and silver walking coat with blue dress that she wears when Benedict enlist her help to find the Lady in Silver. It’s very pretty but just missed the list. She is also wearing the necklace she wore at Full Moon Ball from season three.
