Some of my Favorite Posts of 2025
All in all, thanks to reviewing Season One and Two of Netflix’s Wednesday I did post more consistently in 2025 than in 2024. Though thanks to my Disney marathon at the end of 2024 I didn’t really increase my total amount by too much. I posted 44 times in 2024 and 46 (including this post) this year.
To close out the year I’m going to highlight some of my personal posts in 2025.
While I do like all my posts these are ones I just wanted to highlight there are 12 or so because I’m weak.
These are in order by more or less date.
5 of my Least favorite Disney Movies
As mentioned, I did a Disney animated movie marathon and posted about my favorite 20 at the tail end of 2024. Well my first post of 2025 was a snarky post on the 5 I disliked the most. I don’t think my opinion has changed. I do still want to go more into Wish someday.
5 times Esmeralda and Quasimodo ended Romantically
This was Valentine’s day post about 5 instance Esmeralda and Couple ended together or at least that it how it appeared. Honestly I’m vey fond of this post.
My Tepid Take on the Disney Princess Pandora Ring Collection
What can I say, I like jewelry and I don’t exactly hate these ring designs, in theory, but there were some odd design choices. Also I got to mused about what they could have done for an Esmeralda ring design. It’s really too bad she was cut from the Princess Line or we could have gotten one maybe.
Cassel’s Version Announcement
Since this blog started it has seen 8th other Hunchback versions get announced with only one getting released and to be blunt that one shouldn’t even count. Vincent Cassel’s Netflix version is not only Number #9 it’s the second time Netflix has announced a version. I have low expectations on this one. Everything, aside from the name, is suggesting it more a story behind the story take. Worst case scenario I can add this movie to my Cholera movie rankings.
Wednesday Season 1 Episode 3
While I could have picked a lot of my Wednesday posts, I just had fun being snarky about names and the setting on this one.
Fan-Cast Jenna Ortega as Esmeralda
One my New’s Resolutions for the blog is to post a fan-casting once a month and the one for Jenna Ortega as Esmeralda was bit of two-for-one because her getting cast seems very contingent of Tim Burton’s involvement, however I don’t think she would be a bad pick with or without Burton but could you imagine Burton’s version? Maybe I should expand the “casting” to directors.
Final thoughts on Wednesday Season 2
While reviewing Wednesday season 2 I found myself getting frustrated by individual episode and I just wanted to write about the larger issues of dynamic of show that could really commit any sense of identity other than lite gothic for teenagers. So that was the reason why season 2 “tepid take” review post. I do hope the writers can just tighten up the narrative without losing what little character arc the show have done so far or dropping plots entirely mid-season for a different story line that follows the same beats as season one. Also a musical episode!
Holiday Movie Sings Ranking (A Tie)
In all honestly the movie that sparked the idea for me to do song rankings on the blog was a complete different movie. But since the Holidays were coming up I decided to hold off on that movie and do songs ranking for my Halloween and Christmas posts. Oddly I feel like I over-thought these but I hope do more of these kinds of posts moving forward.
The Definitive Disney “I Want” Song Ranking
This post was originally conceived as an article for my Hubpages account as I had a few these stat based ranking before. But Hubpages is discounting their users submitted articles I decided to see how it would work here instead. This ranking had a little more steps to get the ranking to reflect the numbers but i’m overall happy with how this post came out. Plus Hunchback’s song ranked pretty high and wasn’t sure it would so that was a plus.
I also like my intro picture that has three of the red-headed main characters in the sunlight singing their song.

The Definitive Ranking of the Bridgerton Books
So I love Bridgeton and I have read the books, though I only own 4 of them. Originally this post was an article on my Hubpages account. I’m still debating where I want to post my 100 plus articles (here, substack, or medium) however I did this one first because I misspelled Bridgerton which screwed up the URL and I alsi wanted to see how one my article would perform here. Jury is still out of that one but I’m fond of this post. I did change a few of the pictures even tried crafting an aesthetic Bridgerton picture for this post along with a graphic with the lead couples up through season 4.
I know these posts at a lot of ranking and if I do post my Hubpages articles here that isn’t going to help matters as they are mostly all rankings.
Resolutions for the Blog in 2026… I have at least two
Two goals I will state here, Number 1 trying to post at least twice a week which I did do in December 2025 and at least once a month doing a fan-casting post.
